MPBT General Tips - submitted by Cameron Blood
Frustrating as piloting that first Commando can be, you simply have to stick it out for as long as it takes you to purchase a Javelin 10-F. You will be getting creamed for a while - a Javelin or Jenner 7-F can take out a Commando with one well-placed Alpha Strike - but your patience will pay off in the end. DO NOT purchase ANY 'Mech until you can afford the JVN-10F.

As long as you're in that Commando, make the most of it and try to get yourself as many C-Bills as you can in every battle. Do not rush off by yourself; you're nothing but a moving target. Stick with your lancemates and try to feed off the confusiion they creat..blend in and help out. If your opponents have a Javelin or Jenner - or even a medium 'Mech - gunning for them, they probably won't even notice your little old Commando. Take advantage of that and hit them hard. You may even score yourself a good deal of kills, making the wait for that JVN-10F shorter than you thought it would be.

Once you get your paws on a JVN-10F or JR7-F (as a side note - talk to anyone who as purchased a Raven or UrbanMech - they almost all regret the waste of money), you will have a welcome additional to your arsenal: jump jets. Use them often, both offensively and defensively. Practice shooting when you first start your jump and when you are landing; these are the times when your enemy is having trouble tracking you. (This is a generalization; I've lost track of the number of times I've been killed in mid-air.)

I am looking for various battle tutorials from MPBT players. If you think you would like to submit one, please E-MAIL ME and maybe it will be published here.
